32 years ago, we welcomed Jason David Carney into our lives. We were so privileged to have Jason born into our family. We love you and miss you so much, Jason.

  1. I’m so sorry for your loss and pain. We lost our only child 9 years ago. He was 19 yrs. old. Not a day goes by that we don’t think of him. Your blog has been so very, very helpful to us. Thank you so much for reaching out to others. Sometimes you feel all alone in this pain. But you aren’t. Carol

  2. Jason’s entry into the world was, I have no doubt, one of the most important and joyous days of your life. I wish he were still here living the life he should have had. He sounds like a wonderful boy from all you have written about him.

  3. I didn’t have a chance to reply yesterday, but you and your family were in my thoughts are prayers.

We have turned my son’s birthday into a family day. I have taken the day off from work and we have pulled the kids out of school when at all possible. It’s a tough day but I don’t want to minimize it or ever forget it.

1 Thessalonians 4:13 – “But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope.”

  4. A belated birthday wish for “Mr. Jay” — sent with caring wishes for his mom and dad, as well. I am so sorry for your loss and the pain you undoubtedly felt on Jason’s birthday, Rebecca. Hugs.
